Micromax Canvas Knight Review- A worth Competitor For Samsung Galaxy Grand 2.

Micromax is the top 3rd brand of India last year with a market share of 8.7%.Canvas Series stood up and had lot of attention like Grand and S series of Samsung,The Past Micromax phones doesn't have a solid build quality and also has lesser internal memory.Thing have been changing since micromax canvas 4,which also captured a lot of attention. But both turbo and turbo mini has declined in sales. So now micromax is up with a new device "Canvas Knight"
Build And Display
The Knight features a 5 inch full HD IPS display with an incredible ppi density of 441.The phone design is similar to the Sony Xperia Z.Two glass pieces in front and back separated by a metallic{some kind of alloy}.The display is crisp, vibrant and has decent viewing angles. In the front the phone has 3 capacitive buttons. The front camera is located at the top right.Speaker's are at the bottom.Back is clean and only have micromax logo, camera and flash. The Phone is available in three variants:Black ,Black and Gold And White.

Hardware
The phone is powered by a mediatek octacore turbo chipset clocked at 2ghz supported by 2GB of RAM and GPU is Mali 450MP4 .In Paper the specifications are good. But in real life it doen't do a good job.

Software
The Phone is running on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.Which is kind of let down.Because Micromax always houses specification as the current flagship form other manufacturers.May be Problems of knight can be solved by providing an update to Android 4.4 Kitkat which features lot of optimizations.

Camera
The Knight has a Back Facing 16 Mega-pixel Auto Focus Camera with LED flash. It capture very good images at daylight. While it is somewhat pixelated in night shots. The Camera Supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. The phone has 8 Megapixel Front Facing Camera.Which does a good job in selfies and video chat.

Storage And Battery
Canvas Knight has 32 GB on-board storage with no expandable storage slot.Which is a real problem for Indian Users. The phone houses 2000MAh Battery, which is really bad .It doesn't give enough juice to power you through a day

Verdict
The phone is a good midrange device,If you ignore the unexpandable storage and average battery. The main problem of the device is heating problem. It heat's up very quickly and also to very high temperatures.Overall ,I Personally Dont like the device especially when you can buy smartphones such as One Plus One and Gionee Elife  E7 by spending 4 thousand or more.
Tech Of Today's Rating:7.5/10
